Rebecca Thompson

Rebecca graduated with a diploma in Recreation and Leisure Services from Niagara College in 1996. She went on to obtain her Bachelor of Recreation and Leisure Studies from Brock University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Therapeutic Recreation from Georgian College. She has worked in the field of TR for the past ten years and is currently employed as a Recreation Therapist at Homewood Health Centre in Guelph. At Homewood, she works with clients along a continuum of care that involves acute inpatient mental health treatment and exciting community based rehabilitation.

Melissa Konat

Melissa has been employed at Baycrest since 2002 and has recently returned from an educational leave of absence where she completed a double degree in Therapeutic Recreation & Recreation and Business. During her leisure she keeps busy with planning her wedding, spending time with friends and family and working out!

Susy Marrone

Susy is currently employed as a Recreation Therapist and Professional Practice Advisor at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton. She is a graduate of Recreation and Leisure Studies at Mohawk College and is currently enroled in Part Time studies at Brock University in the Recreation and Leisure Studies Program.

Colleen Whyte

Colleen is currently completing her PhD at the University of Waterloo studying the role of TR in developing a sense of community for residents in long-term care. She completed her Bachelor of Recreation & Leisure Studies at Brock University and graduated with her Master's degree in Recreation & Leisure Studies at Dalhousie University in 2002. Prior to returning to school, Colleen worked as a TR Practitioner in Continuing Care and Acute Care in Ontario.
