Erin Apothecary-Reid

Erin Apothecary Reid is a Recreation Therapist and is a Registered TRO member. She has worked with those living with dementia for over eight years. Erin attended Lakehead University for her BA in Sociology and then completed the Recreation Therapy program (with honours) at Confederation College, Thunder Bay. Erin also obtained her Geriatric certificate from the Geriatric Certificate Program at McMaster University. Erin is a GPA (Gentle Persuasive Approach) Coach and a P.I.E.C.E.S facilitator. She is the Regional Education Coordinator for Behavioural Supports Ontario (BSO) in Erie St Clair Region. She has always had an interest and passion for supporting older adults living with dementia. Erin has always enjoyed engaging with all people and improving their quality of life through recreation and leisure. Erin has worked in multiple sectors such as Long-Term Care, Retirement Homes, and Community Programs. She has also enjoyed supporting the TRO membership by being on the Board of Directors from 2020-2022 and is excited to continue with another 2 year term. Erin loves thinking outside of the box and helping others. Her favorite hobbies include watching sunsets on Lake Huron, hiking, drinking tea with a good book, spending time with family, and going on adventures with her husband and dog, Beanie!
