TRO Student Mentorship Award 

This award is given to an educator, instructor, professor or direct internship/practicum/placement supervisor who has been influential to a student in TR. The successful recipient will be someone who has helped guide a future practitioner in the field of TR through assistance with educational instruction, field placement, etc. Mentoring students is a very important part of building the future of this profession!

Nomination Criteria:

  • Must be a TRO member
  • Student must nominate an educator

Current TRO Board of Directors are not eligible for this award

Application Requirements:

Students must complete and submit the award nomination form (below). In addition, please send a 500-750 word narrative (completed in MS Word) describing how this individual has provided you with excellent mentorship and how you feel their influence will guide your future practice in TR. Submit by the nomination deadline to the Communications Coordinator at: communications@trontario.org

Seletion Process:

  • All identifying information will be removed prior to selection committee review

The Awards Sub-Committee consists of a minimum of 3 volunteers including: at least one representative from the Membership and Professional Services Committee and up to six TRO members (the TRO Communications Coordinator is an ex-officio member). It is responsible for reviewing TRO award nominations and will forward recommendations to the Membership and Professional Services Committee for approval by the TRO board of directors.
