Annual TRO Conference:

Each year this is a TRO Sponsored event many TR practitioners in the province look forward to in order to learn new innovate program ideas, stay current on the latest TR trends and research, earn Professional Contribution Credits (PCCs) and connect with other TR professionals during the social networking opportunities.

2017-2018 Webinar Series 

2017-2017 TRO Webinar SeriesTherapeutic Recreation Ontario (TRO) is proud to announce our 2017-18 webinar series! Click on the "Register" link in the table below to learn more and sign-up! Members be sure to use the coupon code to take advantage of FREE access to all webinars. Can't make a live session? Not to worry, each session will be recorded and available for members to access anytime from our Webinar Recordings webpage.

Each session has been pre-approved for 1 professional contribution point per hour. Click on the button below to purchase your PCC Transcript for your initial Registration (R/TRO, R/TRO DIP) or Maintenance application. This transcript will outline each of the webinars you attended (live or recording prior to April 25, 2018) in the series and will be mailed 3-4 weeks after the final session. If you would like a letter of participation for your CTRS renewal, contact Amanda at communications@trontario.org and be sure to complete the post-test.

PCC Application to Become a TRO Sponsored Event:

If you are organizing an educational opportunity, Therapeutic Recreation Ontario is now offering PCC points for members who attend educational opportunities made available by/to regional groups or facilities. Attendees will be awarded 1 PCC point for every 1 hour of education sessions they attend. Only attendees who purchase PCC points will be able to submit the education session along with PCC transcript for points in their Registration (R/TRO, R/TRO DIP) application / maintenance packages. The organizing individual/group must complete the PCC application form and send along with an abstract/brochure (click link above for application form).


TRO Sponsored Events

Collecting Professional Contribution Credits (PCCs) for your Registration (R/TRO, R/TRO DIP) Application or Maintenance package? Any session listed as a "TRO Sponsored Event" on our Upcoming Events page has been pre-approved for PCCs. Please note: in order to receive your PCC Transcript, you will need to purchase PCCs for the event you are attending and follow the PCC procedures as outlined for the event. 

TRO members have indicated that they want more TRO sponsored educational opportunities in addition to our Annual TRO Conference. One of the ways TRO is addressing this request is by sharing details below for the following PCC-approved opportunities.

TRAW Regional Networking Event

October 11, 2017

9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Homewood Healthcare Centre -Guelph

For only $15 you will be spending the day at Homewood Health Centre networking with professionals in the Region, problem solving with peers, as well as developing skills in the exciting new relaxation technique of Zentangle.  Lunch and refreshments will be provided over the course of the day.  Also, don’t forget your running shoes!  Over the lunch hour we will take a tour of the Grounds that Homewood has to offer.  We will finish the day with an open discussion about the other professional development opportunities TRAW has to offer.
