Webinar: An Introduction to Article Writing and Submission for Therapeutic Recreation Practice and Research

In late 2024, Therapeutic Recreation Ontario (TRO) launched a new Community of Practice (CoP) focused on research and knowledge mobilization. This CoP brings together practitioners, students, educators, and researchers in Therapeutic Recreation to foster resource development, peer support, and advocacy for the importance of research and knowledge sharing in advancing the field. The Research and Knowledge Mobilization CoP aims to advocate for the value of research by offering essential continuing education opportunities. Notably, it seeks to educate TRO members on how to conduct research and effectively communicate its findings. The upcoming webinar will introduce participants to best practices for article writing and the submission process. This session will be presented in collaboration with Dr. Rebecca Genoe, editor of Leisure/Loisir Journal and Therapeutic Recreation Professor at the University of Regina's Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.
